Who are we?
The Love Fellowship is an English Bible Study Fellowship. We meet
every Friday night to sing praises to God, learn the Word of God, share
and fellowship with one another. We started with 10 regular
members in year 2000, and we met alternately in the homes of our
members. Due to the
increase in membership in 2002, we have been meeting at church to accommodate as
many as 120 members at our peak. Our doors are
always open to visitors and new members. Please email
info@tulsaccc.org for more
information.

History
The Love Fellowship was the brainchild of a
group of Children Church teachers who felt the need to study the Bible and
have fellowship. The idea was conceived due to the unique
circumstances presented to the teachers: (1) Children Church takes place
during Sunday School so the teachers are not able to attend their own
Sunday School. (2) Some teachers are more comfortable speaking
and listening in English.
Our first meeting was held in August, 2000.
We studied the book of Romans, Faith and
how it works in our daily lives, and the Names of God using the book
Lord I Want to Know You by Kay Arthur.
In September 2002, God gave our
fellowship a new assignment. Our group expanded to serve students
who attend schools in the Tulsa Area: Oral Roberts University, University
Language Institute, and Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology. Attendance ramped
up to as many as 40 members. We praise God for the opportunity to
share the Gospel by teaching English using the Contemporary English
Version Bible.
In November 2002, the fellowship
help established an English Bible Study group on Sunday to teach the Bible
and English as a Second Language.
By the Summer of 2003, we have 60
members, most of whom are student pilots from various Chinese airlines
including China Eastern, Hainan, Zhejiang, Shanghai, Shandong, and Xiamen.
During the summer of 2004, we
had a welcoming party with our largest fellowship turn out of 120
participants including 86 student pilots from the various Chinese
airlines, including Hainan, Xiamen, Shanghai, Air China, Zhejiang,
Shangdong, and Sichuan.
By Fall of 2004, we served 150
student pilots: Hainan, Xiamen, Shanghai, Air China, Zhejiang,
Shangdong, Sichuan, and Wuhan airlines.
In January 2005, we served 189
student pilots: Hainan, Xiamen, Shanghai, Air China, Zhejiang,
Shangdong, Sichuan, Wuhan, and Shenzhen airlines.
In the first week of January
2006, 60 student pilots remained in Tulsa. As they complete their
training, they left Tulsa in groups every week. We were very
thankful to God for the opportunity to share our lives with these fine
young men and women from China during their stay in Tulsa.
In February 2006, we resumed
our Friday night Bible study schedule. We use the study material
Believing
God by Beth Moore. God sent us new members to join us.
At the first meeting, we had 12 members.
In May 2006, we started
studying the Book of Daniel with Beth Moore's Daniel - Lives of
Integrity, Words of Prophecy. We began providing
babysitting, and had 10 adult members and 5 children attend regularly.
On October 27, 2006, we began
the short series When Godly People Do Ungodly Things: Arming
Yourself in the Age of Seduction. Due to holidays, special
programs and weather, this series of 6 lessons took a long time to
complete.
In March 2007, we began the
Living Beyond Yourself:
Exploring the Fruit of the Spirit
series.
In June 2007, we revisited the
Believing God:
Experiencing a Fresh Explosion of Faith
series.
In September 2007, we started
the
Growing in Prayer
series.
On January 18, 2008, we started the Trust
series.

We love because God loved us first.
(1 John 4:19 - CEV)
And we have known and believed the love that God has in us. God is
love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.
(1 John 4:16)
Love is patient, love is kind and is not
jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, does not act
unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not
take into account a wrong suffered, does not rejoice in unrighteousness,
but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes
all things, endures all things. Love never fails...
(Corinthians 13:4-8)
But now faith, hope, love, abide
these three; but the greatest of these is love.
(Corinthians 13:13)
